Mid-Year Manufacturing Check-In: How Are You Tracking Toward Your 2025 Goals?

It’s June, and that means we’re officially halfway through the year. For manufacturers, this is the perfect time to pause, reflect, and recalibrate.

At Mills Machine Works, we use this midpoint as an opportunity to assess our performance, fine-tune our operations, and make sure we’re on track to meet (or exceed) our annual goals.

Here are some key areas we evaluate during our mid-year check-in:

1. Operational Performance

Are jobs running on time? Are quality standards being met? How are our current cycle times and throughput compared to Q1?

Small inefficiencies early in the year can compound. Reviewing KPIs now gives us time to fix bottlenecks before they affect Q4 deliveries.

2. Customer Satisfaction

Have we followed up on recent quotes and deliveries? What kind of feedback have we received? Are customers returning - or disappearing?

Reconnecting with clients mid-year is a great way to uncover new opportunities and address concerns early.

3. Financial Health

Are we staying within budget? Have material or labor costs shifted? What revenue trends are emerging?

We review cash flow projections and job profitability so we can pivot quickly and make informed decisions for the second half of the year.

4. Team Development

Is our team feeling supported? Do they need new tools or training? Are we creating space for growth and innovation?

Mid-year is a great time to check in with your people, not just your processes.
